Digital Single Lens Reflex

Here are some technical facts flavoured with [cynistic] opinion about digital SLR camera ownership:
1. Picture Size. Never overestimate the mega pixels size, it's value is the result of multiplication of width and length, therefore it grows quadratic. For example:
6.5mp=3152x2068pixels
8mp =3456x2304pixels
10mp = something less than 4000x(3/4)x that something pixels
conclusion: for a double size of picture you need quadruple mega pixels value, further more it means 20mp EOS-1Ds MarkIII is less than double size of 'cheap' EOS 300D. The word cheap is relative to EOS-1Ds MarkIII, if having EOS-1D MarkIII you may have 30 pieces of EOS 300D

2. Sensor size. This is the worst fact of a digital SLR. The sensor size is less than standar 35mm film camera. Here is an example of EOS system, xyD or xyzD series. Yes, not all series actually, one digit EOS series(xD) have 35mm sensor, but the price is too expensive for 35mm camera. If I had that much of money I'll choose Hasselblad's medium format one, and dream someday I can buy the digital back :D. Last month I saw a lady, bought a medium size film, yes a lady, I wonder how camera geek she is.
More over about this small sensor size is the difficulties of capturing architectural figures, you'll get more deviated towers unless you move hundreds meter backward.

3. Low light handling is simply voltage increments, therefore it is impossible to have a fine grain picture using a high ISO value. Using celluloid camera you can simply bought a more expensive film celluoid processed with particular fine grain chemicals processor.

Long live film celluloid camera!
